Hi I'm William Hopoate
I am a professional rugby league player for the Manly Sea Eagles in Australia, and I'm a Mormon.
I am a professional rugby league player for the Manly Sea Eagles in Australia. I’ve been playing rugby league since I was young and it’s in my blood. Just recently, my team won the NRL grand final. That was my last game for two years as I get ready to serve my mission for the Church. I am planning on picking up right where I left off in my rugby league career after my mission. When I have free time I enjoy going to the beach and hanging out with the boys. My family has always been a support for me and I love them.
Why I am a Mormon
I’m a Mormon because it brings happiness into my life and those around me. The emphasis on family in the Church has helped bring my family together to become stronger and support each other. I have found that if I put the Lord first in my life, everything else falls into place and I know I’ve been blessed with amazing opportunities and joy because of that. I feel that being Mormon and having strong faith in God helps me keep a greater perspective of my life and the things that are the most important, like family and faith.
How I live my faith
I live my faith in many ways. I help the missionaries if they need it and attend church every Sunday. I stick out in the professional rugby league world because I try to live a clean life. Soon I will also begin my two year mission for the Church.
