Hi I'm David Carruth

I was born and raised in Washington state. I love baseball and played for years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite hobby has to sports. I played baseball for 13 years and am still following it closely. I enjoy playing any sport and being out in the sun. When the rain comes ESPN helps me get my sports fix. Currently I am pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science and am about halfway done. I am taking a break from school to serve a mission and have my call to Albuquerque, New Mexico. I couldn't be more excited to serve The Lord and his children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into the gospel and grew up going to church every week. Even though I grew up in a church centered home, there still came a point where I had to choose for myself. After graduation of high school I became inactive and lived a life away from the church. However, my first semester at a church school quickly brought me back and that is when I really gained my testimony. I know this church is true because I see how it effects my life. I know how much happier I am when I live the principles and follow the commandment of the gospel. I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true and following its guidance will lead to happiness. I wouldn't be who I am or where I am without the gospel in my life. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me as best I can. I currently don't have a calling, but I have previously served in group presidencies both as a youth and as an adult. I will also live my faith by serving a mission and spending two years teaching others the gospel and serving those I meet and teach.
