Hi I'm Sarah Crandall

I'm a business student, a hula dancer, a full-time missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, I'm Sarah and I have a wonderful life! The things that make me happiest are spending time outdoors, classic literature, Polynesian dance, having really long hair, politics, BYU football, speaking Spanish, and going to California. But nothing compares to being with my family! My parents are still happily married and I'm the third of four daughters. (And an auntie to the cutest niece ever!) My family calls me "Rah" because I love to cheer others on and I'm an incredibly positive person. I believe that we choose how we feel! I choose to be happy. Every morning I remind myself that today is the best day of my life! Right now I'm working and going to school full time. I'm a business OB/HR student at Brigham Young University. I chose this field because I'm interested in studying psychology and people. I want to teach others how to use their talents and skills to achieve their goals. I have a dream of earning a graduate degree and I'm considering an Ed.S. Above all, I hope all of this schooling will prepare me to be as cool as my mom is. I'm convinced that the worldly ladder of success has nothing to offer me and I would love to be a stay-at-home mom! I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and my greatest objective is to someday be like Him! I have a strong testimony that everything will work out as long as we put God first and love Him above all else.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I went to church every week because that's what my family always did. I prayed and read scriptures out of habit. When I was in junior high and high school, I struggled with very low self-esteem. I wanted to be skinnier, prettier, and more popular. I had a hard time making friends and I couldn't believe that a loving God would send me to earth just to suffer. One time, my seminary teacher encouraged me to pray and ask Heavenly Father to say my name. I thought the idea sounded weird, but I decided to try it anyway. I went into my room alone, kneeled on the floor by my bed, and asked my Father to say my name. In a very personal sense, I heard His voice. Ever since this experience, I've never doubted that God is real, He lives, and He loves me. I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ! This knowledge didn't come over night, but continues to grow as I make the right choices. I know now that my self-worth isn't based on worldly standards. I feel confident in knowing that my Heavenly Father is pleased with me.

How I live my faith

I served an 18 month mission in Richmond, Virginia speaking Spanish. My purpose was to invite others to come unto Christ. More than anything, I loved teaching others how the Gospel can change their lives! Our loving Savior paid the price so that we can be perfected in Him. The Gospel makes me so happy! It was a privilege to wear the name of Jesus Christ and profess his name daily. I loved my mission! As a returned missionary, I still seek opportunities to share my faith with others. I also feel a strong desire and calling to support the family. I want to make the world a better place by upholding and fighting for righteous family traditions.
