Hi I'm Jake Packham

Full-time student at BYU-I seeking success in all aspects of life. Happily engaged. God is good and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

When I was younger I lost my dad when I was 6 years old. I miss him greatly and strive to live my life to be half the man he was. As I was growing up I have played soccer, baseball and ran track competitively. However, my favorite sport is basketball. I served a two year mission in Montana. I currently live in Rexburg and attend BYU-I I love the mountains and always will. I love temples and the 2 favorite ones that I've been able to go through have been Nauvoo, Illinois and Billings Montana. One day I'd love to go through the Logan Temple where my parents and family were sealed for time and all eternity. Life is great, everyone deserves to be happy, everyone deserves to hear and know of the truthfulness of Christ's church.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? That is a great question often asked by many. I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. One of the main reasons that I am Mormon and continue to follow His gospel is because of the happiness that it brings to my life as well as others. One of my favorite principles about the church is that families can be together forever. I testify that I do in fact have a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I know without any doubt that the church is true. I know that the atonement is real. We can be forgiven for all of our sins and misdoings if we let the atonement work through us. I testify that Jesus is my savior and paid the ultimate price so that we could be happy as well as return to our Heavenly Father once again. I know that families can be together forever. Our Heavenly Father does in fact answer our prayers, I know that to be true because He has answered mine. He doesn't always answer our prayers how we want or expect but He does. I have received answers, comfort, peace, and love when on my knees praying to Him. I love the fact that no matter what happens in this life I will never feel alone, and if I do, I can turn to our Savior and Heavenly Father for that comfort.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the day to day actions. I believe that you can't just get by going to church on Sunday and being a completely different person. Christ taught principles of change, repentance, love, and I strive to live those each day. I don't always succeed but we live and we learn.
