Hi I'm Bailee

I grew up in the heat of Arizona in the United States. I played cello for seven years. I have a big hispanic family. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I love music! I spent the majority of my life playing cello and did a year of choir before graduating high school. I love to read, and I especially love to be out in nature! I am unsure of what college to attend, but I know I want to be a kindergarten teacher! I have coached swim team for two years, and was also a swim team captain my senior year. I’ve worked in both fast food and retail, and I have four younger siblings out of five kids in my family. I enjoy baking food, or doing some fort of craft that can benefit others and give them to people as a gesture of love for them. I love to create and do artsy things, such as braiding bracelets, learning to paint/draw, or creating something new, and then share them with others! Most of the items I make, I don’t keep; the all get distributed to friends and neighbors! I love people, and learning about them and listening to them talk about their lives!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family and was baptized at 8. While I may have been born into the church, I had to have my own conversion and decide if I wanted to stay with it. I have personally studied the Book of Mormon, prayed, and sincerely asked God if this church is true, if the Scriptures were true, and if I should stay. I can clearly remember the feeling of comfort and warmth, and thought came to my mind, “You already know the church is true! It is!” and it’s true! I already had the feeling this was a good, true church, but since that confirmation from our Father in Heaven about the church, I have never looked back and to this day am still a very active member! I am a Mormon because I love our Heavenly Father. I love to serve Him and His children, our brothers and sisters. I am a Mormon because Mormons take care of not just each other, but everyone, no matter who they are! I am a Mormon because I feel peace and joy through the Church, and nothing can compare! I am a Mormon, because I know Heavenly father loves me, loves each and every one of us so much, that I want to be in His church and serve and love Him back! I am a Mormon because I love the Church!

How I live my faith

I was a laurels class president (the young women’s group ages 16-18) before I graduated high school and planned mutual (weekly youth activities). I also was the cello performer at a civil wedding for a couple in my ward that were in need of music and were short on money. I participate in a lot of community service, and I enjoy visiting with people no matter who they are! I have done musical numbers on my cello during church meetings, and have given talks at the pulpit in front of the congregation. I also take care of and watch over the younger children in the ward.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Bailee
Mormons don’t just help Mormons! Mormons help EVERYONE! That’s one of the reasons that i love the Church so much! We are a simple, loving religion and we know every single person on this earth to be a spiritual sister or brother. As one big spiritual family, we reach out to the needs of everyone, no matter who they are, what religion, race, etc. that they are or belong to! We love all of God’s children and we do whatever we can to help everyone! Show more Show less
