Hi I'm Ned

I grew up in Utah and taught at elementary schools in Idaho for 37 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Ned I love teaching, traveling, photography, and family history. I live in Idaho and taught at elementary schools for 37 years. I have been involved in family history research for over 30 years and love it. I am married and have 8 married children, 37 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. We have traveled to all 50 states, several Canadian Providences, Jordan and Israel, and the British Isles.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of my church all my life. Several generations of my family have been members since the church has been restored to the earth. I continue to follow the teachings of the church because I know they are true given to us by prophets in our day from our Savior. I have had many confirmations of the truthfulness of them from the Holy Ghost. I know my Savior lives and has paid for my sins. As I repent He has forgiven me. I know He loves me and wants me to return to Him through the eternities. I know the scriptures are the word of God and that as we seek his help through prayer He will answer them and strengthen us so we can overcome our problems. I also know He has restored his true church on the earth today and gives revelations to living prophets that guide his church. By following those teachings and commandments my life has been much more happy.

How I live my faith

I was involved in the Boy Scout program for over 25 years and enjoyed working with the boys. For a few years I organized an evening Community School program and have coached several youth basketball teams. I served at the Family History Library for 10 years, the last five as the director and currently serving at family history lab at the church university. I also taught many years in the church programs, both with the youth and adults.
