Hi I'm Victoria

I'm a student. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love all things outdoors - hiking, biking, shooting, rock climbing, going to the beach, you name it. I enjoy watercolor painting. I learned basic techniques from a friend and have since continued to teach myself. I've loved being able to share this talent with others in the form of gifts and cards. When I have time, I'm a major book nerd. I love getting lost in a story. Some of my favorites are The Help, The Princess Bride (who knew it was a book before it was a movie?!), and, of course, The Book of Mormon. I attend BYU and am currently planning on furthering my education in the medical field.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents grew up in the church. They were married in the temple and taught the gospel in our home. The principles of the gospel always made sense to me, I never really doubted what I was taught. At some point in my teenage years I realized that my testimony wasn't going to continue growing on its own just because my family were members of the church. I started to really pray and talk with Heavenly Father. I bettered my scripture study. I went to church with questions and a yearning to feel the Spirit. I came to the knowledge for myself that this church really was true and was the only place I could find true and lasting happiness. My conversion process has not stopped, I don't think it ever does for any of us. I have and will continue to learn and draw closer to Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time mission in Washington DC. I have the opportunity to go out everyday and teach people about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how they can follow Him. I strive every day to be an example to others and have Christ-like love. I continue to learn about the gospel and study the scriptures so I can draw closer to Christ.
