Hi I'm Kirstin

I grew up in Utah. I'm studying to be a music educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing and play the piano. Music is a huge part of my life. I love listening to choral music, Broadway tunes, and anything to which I can sing at the top of my lungs. I am studying music education at University, and hope to be a high school choir teacher when I grow up. I love to connect with people and spend time with my family and friends. Family parties are the best!

Why I am a Mormon

At first, I was a Mormon because my parents are. However, around my sophomore year in high school I realized that this was either a huge waste of time, or it was true: and I had to find out for myself. I read the entire Book of Mormon and prayed to our Heavenly Father, to God. I received a sure witness from the Holy Ghost that this gospel is true. I felt peace and warmth. Since that day, I have strengthened that conviction through consistent scripture study and prayer. I am a Mormon because this gospel brings me pure joy. It is the single most important thing to me in this life. I have developed a relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ, and with my Heavenly Father. I go to God when I have questions, and I have faith in Christ. I continue to follow His gospel because I know it's true. Everyone is trying to find out how to be happy--well I've found it. You will only find true happiness by living the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have served in my ward as a pianist for two years. We sing in many of our meetings, and it is one of my favorite things. Currently, I am preparing to serve a mission for the Church--this means I give up 18 months or my life and pay my way to share this gospel wherever I am called. I will be serving in the Philippines, and I cannot be more excited to live my faith and share it with the people there.
