Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church, but I have learned that it does not mean that I have converted into the Church. The scriptures Luke 15:7, 10 and Doctrine and Covenants 18:10,16 speak about God's love for the salvation of souls. He is joyful even when one soul is saved, He tells us to imagine the happiness we will have when we were the ones to have helped that one soul is saved. A question that I was asked once was: who is that one soul that was saved? That one soul is yourself. This joyful state of God and Heaven is for you. For me, to be converted is a lifelong process. To learn more about the gospel, to keep the commandments, remember and follow the covenants that we made with God. Conversion is the idea that we will follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and do what they want us to do. Although it is difficult through the Grace of Jesus Christ we will be able to do it. I have been a part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but only recently I have been fully interested in becoming converted to the church by reading the scriptures and doing my best to follow Christ's example. And by actively trying to convert myself, I will have the opportunity to teach the gospel to others so that Heaven can be full of joy. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I have been given the opportunity to teach and be a role model to the youth in my ward. As the eldest in the youth I have been told that the youth look up to me. This has given me an extra push to do my best to follow the example of my older brother Jesus Christ.
