Hi I'm Melanie

I grew up in Kaysville Utah. I love to dance. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been attending the University of Utah for my first year of college. It has been so great! I love the institute there and all the classes and teachers. In high school I was in a few choirs. I also served on Youth City Council and Youth Court. I have been dancing nearly my whole life, with 14 years of professional training in ballet. I love watching anything live-live music, live acting, live dancing. I love to talk to my friends and be around them, but I really don't like playing board games. I love cooking, mostly baking because who doesn't love cookies and cakes and pastries? I've never broken a bone, despite my efforts to be adventurous. I've worked as a lifeguard and love being out in the sun, even if the sun doesn't love me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have felt the Spirit testify to me that the teachings found in this church are true, that it truly is Christ's restored church on the earth today. There is a completeness that is not found in other churches that is found here. There is so much peace found in the teachings of Christ and the Book of Mormon shows Gods love and continued out reaching had towards His children, wherever they are in the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example and sharing my experiences with others. When I see Gods hand in my life I right away want to tell everyone around me how great God is, but I restrain myself and resort to telling my few closest friends. I was the laurel class president for a while in my ward. This was a very humbling experience because I definitly did not consider myself a leader. I found myself in the position of being a friend and support to the new beehives that looked up to me and wanted to be my friend. I was able to be someone people would look up to and expect great things from, and that motivated me to continue to be the best that I could be.
