Hi I'm Chad Hyer

I'm a musician, a thinker, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of five. I have two brothers. I love performing and arranging music and love to learn. I am called to serve in the Philippines San Pablo Mission speaking Tagalog. After my mission, I will attend BYU for a double major in Biochemistry and Applied and Computational Mathematics with a concentration in Economics.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel, so I have been blessed to have a good foundation for my faith, but I moved to an area where Mormons are often persecuted. I had to learn to hold to my faith and to learn to love those who persecuted me. I learned to make friends with them and how to have mutual respect for our differing beliefs. I am a Mormon because I followed Moroni's promise in Moroni 10:3-5. I sought out my own testimony with real intent and brought my questions to the Lord. I am blessed to know the gospel and to have a testimony of it. I know there is no better way to lasting happiness and take comfort in the knowledge that families can be together forever and that God knows me personally. I choose to live the gospel because I love the Lord and want to return to Him. I know that this is the true church and that all those who seek with real intent can know this to be true as well.

How I live my faith

I try to live as an example of the believers in all facets of my life. I try to treat others as Christ would have me treat them and try to be obedient in all things. I have attended early morning Seminary every day for four years and regularly attend Sunday church meetings and youth activities. I am called to serve in the Philippines San Pablo Mission speaking Tagalog.
