Hi I'm Michelle Bertele

I grew up in Utah. I'm serving a mission in Chiclayo, Peru. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm going Chiclayo, Peru in July to serve a mission. I'm going to BYU but I have no idea what I'm going to do. I love reading, woodburning art, music, nature, learning about family history, learning languages, and much more.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my whole life. I got baptized when I was 8, I've always been active in church, but I was truly converted when I had a spiritual experience that changed my life. Call me crazy or delirious, but it actually happened and I knew that this church was true. Since then, I've had too many personal experiences and spiritual confirmations to deny the truth of this gospel. I know that God lives and loves every single one of us with such a love that no one could ever come close to comprehend.

How I live my faith

I go to church every week with my family, and read the scriptures and pray every day. I read talks from past and present prophets to build my testimony and try to act every day as Jesus Christ would.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Michelle Bertele
Absolutely. We study the Bible and its teachings and principles in our church services. We believe the Bible to be our lineage and we want to know as much about that as possible. We believe in the Book of Mormon as well which we believe to contains the fullness of the gospel. Show more Show less
