Hi I'm Ashlyn

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a college student and am preparing to serve as a full-time missionary in the Philippines.

About Me

I am a college student living in Utah and working on my Bachelors Degree. My hobbies include hiking, reading, dancing, singing, and playing the guitar, ukulele, and piano. I have been called to serve as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Philippines.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace, joy, hope, and love that the restored gospel brings into my everyday life. The gospel has blessed me with a knowledge of my eternal worth, purpose, and potential, that I have a Father in Heaven and a Savior who have everlasting love for each and every one of us and whom I can have a personal relationship with, the reality of eternal families, access to priesthood power and temple blessings, that we have a true and living prophet upon the earth today, and of the reality of the sacrifice and Atonement of our loving Savior. I've gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon as I have sought to know for myself the truthfulness of the book by prayer and study. This book has provided me with peace for my deepest worries, healing for my hidden wounds, and strength during my hardest trials. I love the gospel and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's true church upon the earth today in which we have access to the full and restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I seek to emulate the Savior's example that He has set as I strive to treat all with the same understanding, kindness, compassion, love, and respect as He would. As I do so, I seek opportunities to love and serve those around me everyday. I enjoy ministering to others with my companion as we search for new ways to reach out and love the sisters in our ward.
