Hi I'm Liv

From Las Vegas- kinda classy, kinda hood. I'm a big fan of people being exactly who they are- Let's be friends! PS- I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi !! Anything with lemons, Macklemore, or Diet Coke I'm there. I'm currently a broke college student and am now preparing to serve a full-time mission for the church. I am a an introvert, a cheerleader, and a tomboy all wrapped up in one. Breaking stereotypes is my guilty pleasure. I love to analyze human behavior and study why we do the things we do. As I reflect on life in general I realize the many hardships and weight it can put on a person, I know I have felt it. But, through my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have found real peace and happiness amidst all the struggle. I have come to know of a loving God who know my name, and of my literal Savior who has never forgotten to pour upon me his unconditional empathy and love. I am a child of God, and I know with SURETY that you are, too.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. This statement holds so much more meaning to me than it seems to lead out. I am a Mormon because it is the only sure thing that I can count on, the greatest truth I am personally come to know, and the very thing that centers my life. I often think about how our lives are subject to change in regards to years, even months, and especially our days. I think that with so much change going on life starts to feel chaotic or messy, and really at any given moment something could taken away that we so often identify ourselves with… a mother, a child, a spouse, a job, an athlete. As I have think about it I realize how in the world am I supposed to be able to count on anything, what can my center even be? But then every time it hits me. It really is so simple. It’s our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is my center. He can never be taken away from me. No matter what happens in my life I am so grateful to know that my identity as a daughter of God is constant. No matter what life looks like outwardly, I know that it will always be enough inwardly because of Him. I know that this gospel is real and eternal and that it is in deed for EVERYONE. I am so grateful for the consistency it gives me everyday. I have a testimony that because of the Savior, goodbyes are temporary, hope never dies, and sins don’t get the last word, love does. I am a Mormon, and I couldn’t be more confident in the peace and happiness and understanding this identity brings me.

How I live my faith

I have always been active within my church and because of that have had so many service opportunities I have been privileged to participate in. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and was constantly surrounded by those who were very different from me. I loved it. I am so grateful for the diversity of culture and people that I got to build relationships with. I believe that it is because of this I really got to learn first hand of the first great truth, God loves us. God loves all of his children, and he does so unconditionally. God sees His children for who they are and all that they can become. I know that there is a place for everyone in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There is room for everyone no matter where you are in life, no matter what you’ve done, and no matter what you believe. I feel I have best lived my faith as I continue to strive to love all of God’s children the way that He does. In whatever form that person needs, I do my best to reflect God’s love.
