Hi I'm Severia

I was born in Louisiana, the youngest of 6 children. I was baptized in 1979 along with 12 other family members. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the dad of 5 wonderful children and the grandfather of 5 wonderful grandchildren. I once enjoyed playing basketball but because of my age, I now enjoy watching it and other sports on TV.

Why I am a Mormon

The think that most interested me when I was first taught by the missionaries was that families can be together forever. That teaching made me want to be a member of this church. Thirteen members of our family was baptized at that time. What a wonderful time that was. Now after 40 years of membership, I love everything about it. I love the companionship of the members, our love for the Lord and our commitment to him. I am still a Mormon because I love the gospel, my Savior and my Father in Heaven. I know that every thing that I have been taught and everything that I have received through personal revelation are true, and those things plus baptism in this church will lead me and my family back to the presence on my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I strive to attend all of my church meetings and activities. I enjoy attending the temple regularly and serve as a temple worker in The Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple. I also enjoy Ministering to those for which I has responsibility. I try to be mindful of the needs of others and assist where I can.
