Hi I'm Rachel

I was born in raised in Utah and I am a Mormon. I love music.

About Me

I am young student at our local University. I have always had a passion for mathematics, so I am getting a degree in Statistics. I have sung in a choir since I was ten and love playing the piano. I will soon be serving an LDS mission in the Philippines Cauayan Mission, which has been an opportunity I have long awaited. Sharing my testimony of Jesus Christ and the blessing I have had because of it is one of my greatest joys.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in Utah, as many people know, is a very populated Mormon community. Sometimes because of this, children do not feel that the have a choice in being a Mormon but my parents made it very apparent that to be truly converted, we must choose for ourselves what or rather who, we choose to follow. This is why I am Mormon. I not only feel peace and guidance from attending church, but I truly believe the church gives us guidelines to help us become more like Jesus Christ. They teach that Christ wishes for us to be happy and the promised blessings of the temple and eternal families is an important part of that happiness.

How I live my faith

Because I have grown up in the church, I have had many callings that I have enjoyed! Most recently I was an activities planner in a young single adult ward to help them bond and better know one another. I have also been a family history adviser to help the youth understand how to use Family Search, which is beneficial in understanding your past. One of my favorites was being the president of my age group (16-18), it was my favorite because I really got to understand and pray for the needs of my peers and I could be a friend to those who felt friendless.
