Hi I'm Kendra

I am from Phoenix Arizona. I love biology and science. I run half marathons and enjoy hiking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college currently studying molecular biology. I've always been fascinated with genetics and hope to do research on that subject when I graduate. Some of my favorite hobbies are running and hiking. I love a good carne asada burrito and spending time with my younger siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

The knowledge of a Savior brings so much joy into my life. In this church, I have found a fuller knowledge of Jesus Christ and the plan our Father in Heaven has for us. I have felt continual assurances that I am a valued and loved daughter of God. In this church, I am able to realize my potential as such. I learn more about Christ through the scriptures and strive to develop attributes that I read about there. I am not perfect in any way, but as I learn more about Christ who IS perfect, I feel peace and love. I trust more in His enabling power to change me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my trying to serve those around me. One of my favorite things about my church is that it never feels like a "Sunday only" tradition. On Sunday, I feel re-energized and motivated to love and serve more the following week. The good feelings I get at church have motivated me to do outreach work in my community by volunteering with a city youth program and serving at a nursing home regularly. At church, I have the responsibility to play piano and sing songs with young kids and that brings a lot of joy into my life as well.
