Hi I'm Lauryn Alvarez

I grew up in Florida and am going to school at BYU-Provo. I am preparing to serve a mission in Quito, Ecuador. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college at BYU-Provo. I enjoy singing and was a member of the Women's Choir there. I also enjoyed doing color guard in high school. My parents are from Peru and Colombia, and two of my grandparents are from Cuba.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and the message of the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon tells us about who we are, where we came from, and where we are going and, most importantly, testifies of Jesus Christ. It tells us of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how through Him we can find peace and one day live with Him and our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I attend church on Sundays and activities throughout the week. As a youth, I was called to be the president of my classes of girls my age and made sure that everyone felt welcome. I ministered and continue to minister to anyone that might be struggling or need a helping hand.
