Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Alaska and Montana. I love learn. I love being outside hiking, rock climbing, backpacking or running. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up doing everything outside, hiking, fishing, biking, sledding, or just laying in the sun reading a book. I love anything everything outside, week long backpacking trips, rock climbing, running etc. I also love to learn. I attend Southern Virginia University, where I am studying politics. I enjoy reading non-fiction, the news and a good classical novel. I love to learn about the world and geography. The best kind of fun that I've ever found is with my friends or siblings on spontaneous adventures. These adventures usually involve the outdoors and always a lot of laughter. I love to spend time getting to know and love the people around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love who I am when Jesus Christ is in my life. With the Savior's love I find peace, joy and purpose in my daily existence and I don't know where else I can find that except in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love being a Mormon because it makes me a better person, it shows me how to love others more and appreciate the beauty and goodness around me. Being a Mormon helps me find joy in great times and in hard times and gives me direction in my life. I love being a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and that's really what this Church is all about; it's about Jesus Christ and His atonement and returning again to Him. Without Jesus Christ in my life I don't know who or where I would be, but I do know that my life wouldn't be the same.

How I live my faith

I don't do anything grand that shouts to the world, "Look everyone, I'm a Mormon!" Instead, I live my faith in the small decisions on a daily basis. When I get up in the morning I say my prayers and read my scriptures. Throughout the day I try to remember Jesus Christ and I try to serve others. At the end of the day there's always something that I need to repent for, but that's part of the purpose of nightly prayers. I'm also involved in callings in the church, my favorite was teaching Sunday School. I also am involved in the communities where I live, trying to serve others. Sometimes we do big things for our faith, but for me, usually not and that's because I believe it is in consistent and simple daily worship that we show God that we love Him.
