Hi I'm Emma

I'm from a tiny town in Utah and serving a mission in Baltimore, Maryland. My dream is to be an astronomer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge nerd. Not the hipster nerd, an actual nerd who enjoys solving difficult physics problems. I'm an undergraduate in astronomy, and, after I finish my mission, I hope to go on to get a PhD in astronomy and be one of those guys that works in those cool labs. I also love music. I play the Clarinet and sing for fun, not that I'm any good at it. I wish I were good at drawing, but I don't have the discipline to refine that skill, whoops. I'm currently serving a mission in the Maryland Baltimore area, and I'm currently residing in Charles Town!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith, but as I've grown older and most all of my siblings have stopped going to this church I've questioned more and more why I have stayed. I think the main reason is the small experiences I have every day. Whenever I read the Book of Mormon (or other scriptures), go to the temple, serve others, attend a service, or do anything pertaining to the church I can feel the spirit testifying to me that what I am doing is right; so I stay where I am.

How I live my faith

I always try to help people wherever I can. I offer up my skills to whoever might need them. It seems wherever I attend church I always am assigned the chorister for church meetings. As such, I have refined the art of hand waving so much that I'm basically a pro. I also am currently serving a mission. That means that, for the foreseeable future, I'm devoting every minute of my live to serving God, and sharing the things I know to be true with others. I want them to find the same joy in this faith that I have found.
