Hi I'm Justin Harmon

I grew up in American Fork Utah. I go to school at the United States Air Force Academy and am on their track team. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and love to be outdoors or competing in sports. In high school I was on the track team, football team, and cheer team. Following high school I received a scholarship and appointment to the United States Air Force academy to run track. I just finished up my freshman year and am waiting to leave on my mission to Taiwan, Taipei on July 18th, 2018. I am excited and nervous to learn Mandarin Chinese and cannot wait to serve the people of Taiwan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that when I follow the principals of the Gospel I have this amazing feeling and I know I'm doing the right thing. Growing up in Utah I always would just follow the "social norm" and do what everyone else was doing but when I got thrown into basic training I was honestly by myself. It really was a turning point in my life to truly know that this is the true church. Through reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it like it asks you to do so, I know this is the true church and want to invite everyone and anyone to come unto it. The church has brought me so much joy and happiness just by living their standards and works and I want to share that with the rest of the world. That's why I put in my mission papers to help others come unto Christ and feel the joy and happiness that I have.

How I live my faith

Being at the Academy I am surrounded by amazing people however sometimes their language and actions aren't the best so I believe sometimes the best thing you can do is be the example. All my friends now know not to swear around me because they respect my values and morals. I also currently help serve in my Elders Quorum and help with anything the president asks.
