Hi I'm Katie Stahmann

I'm a Texan, a musician, a friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Texas, Oklahoma, and Utah. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University studying neuroscience. I will be serving as a missionary in the Philippines Cebu East mission starting this September 12th. I love helping and teaching others. I also love all things music and dancing, and I love to meet new people :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church, and have had countless experiences that show me that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. The knowledge that I have gained has brought me so much hope and strength during the good times and bad times in life. I am so thankful that because of the restored gospel and priesthood keys I can be with my family together forever. Because of the gospel, I have a purpose and faith to get me through anything.

How I live my faith

I love to participate in different service organizations in the community, like performing at nursing homes and serving food at soup kitchens. I teach gospel principles to the adults in my church's Sunday School class. I try to live my faith by being a good example and by helping those around me to be happy and enjoy this life and the blessings in it.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Katie Stahmann
Family is a main part of Heavenly Father's plan for each of us. In them we can find happiness, peace, and security. Through the restored temple blessings we can be sealed with them for all eternity. This knowledge provides much comfort after loved ones have passed away and gives us purpose to strengthen and love each of our family members. Families are a place of growth and trials, but can also be home to enormous joy and love. Show more Show less
