Hi I'm Parker Collins

I'm from southern Utah. I've grown up with sports and a close family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fresh high school graduate out of Utah. I have a large, confusing family with step- and half- siblings, but I wouldn't have it any other way. While my parents' divorce was difficult for my family, I have grown from it and become a better person because of it. I love sports and played football and basketball growing up.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith, something that I am extremely grateful for. From a young age the values of the LDS Church were instilled in me. As I have gotten older, I have realized that these values are exactly what I would want my own future children to grow up with. This being said, my belief in this church has not come easy or without effort. While I grew up in this faith, I have in no way had the "perfect" life. Events have occurred in my life that put me on my knees, praying for assistance from my Father in Heaven. Events such as divorce, separation, and the deaths of family very close to me. Each of these things put questions in my mind, and as I have prayed for answers I have found them through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that family is at the center of His plan for us. I know that I will be reunited with those that I have lost. Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. He loves me with a perfect love I cannot even comprehend, and I cannot express how thankful I am for Him.

How I live my faith

I visit elderly couples weekly with some of the young men I go to church with. We have become very close to many of these people and have a great relationship with each of them. I also attend the many service project opportunities that are provided by our church. On these days as well as days that I am not at a service project, I try to pray often and look for ways to improve myself and my service.
