Hi I'm Jacob

I'm from Oregon. I go to BYU. I love to bake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy running and hiking and being outdoors. I love to bake all sorts of things. I'm studying business in Utah. I am the oldest child in a very large family. I like cats more than dogs and crunchy peanut butter more than smooth peanut butter.

Why I am a Mormon

I often wonder what it is about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that makes me want to remain a member. The answer is always very simple. I don't know everything. I don't even know that much. But I have a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and the Prophets that He calls and the Book of Mormon. That's all you really need to start out. Once you have a solid testimony of those three things, then you can begin to build upon it. President Uchtdorf says to doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith. With a small testimony of the important things, we can weather any trials or doubts that try to tear us away, and that strength that the church gives is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

When I was at school in Utah I was in the leadership for the other men my age. When I was younger I was in charge of preparing and administering the sacrament. I love hometeaching and I think it's great that everyone is able to minister to other people. I am about to leave for a two year mission to Chile and I'm super excited for that.
