Hi I'm Ethan

I'm from Utah. I love to sing and play music on my cello. I like math and science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a senior in high school, soon to be a missionary. I've played cello for seven years. I like to read novels. I served on the local youth city council for two years. I plan on going to college after my mission and becoming a civil engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormons and they have always brought my siblings and me to church each Sunday. As I got older and began to understand the concept of religion, I read The Book of Mormon and I felt the truth of it. I have continued to study The Book of Mormon and go to church on my own ever since.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I'm part of the group of young men ages 16-18. We get together to do fun activities and serve our neighbors on a weekly basis. I lead the music in my ward's priesthood meeting each week which is when all the men ages 12 and up gather to coordinate our service, activities, and lessons.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Mormons are not required to serve a mission. All young men and young women who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints are encouraged to serve a mission. Serving a mission is voluntary. It is a privilege to go teach and serve people all over the world because we know that if Jesus Christ were on the Earth today, that's exactly what he would be doing.
