Hi I'm Shelbie

I'm from southeastern Idaho. I want to become an educator. I love music. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student preparing for an LDS mission. I love being in the outdoors and in nature. I love teaching, dancing, and making music with my voice or playing an instrument. I also love working with plants and animals. and truly enjoy drawing. I grew up doing chores and now greatly appreciate the times I get to clean, cook, or work outside. Probably one of my favorite things is spending quality time with those close to me. I also enjoy wholesome recreational activities; they are really fun if you do them right. I am a scouter, a 4-H member, a musician, a mathematician, a student, a teacher, a daughter, a friend, a sister... and so many other things. Simply put, I love being me.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. It brings me so much joy, and peace, and guidance. Because I am a Mormon, I learned my worth as a person and came to recognize that I have potential and purpose. It is through the authority in this gospel that I get to be with my family forever, beyond the limitations of my life on earth, as long as I am faithful and true. I know that because of Christ, I can be forgiven, I can become better, and I can eventually return to be with my heavenly parents. This is the restored gospel of Christ on the Earth. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Him. Prophets and apostles do lead and guide us in these confusing times. And I know that I am a child of God. I love this gospel. I would not be here right now without it. I would not be where I am in life without it. And I am eternally grateful for its existence on earth today.

How I live my faith

I often participate in service projects where ever I am. In church I try to participate by staying involved in discussions or being willing to volunteer. I have planned fun congregational activities as well as activities specifically for the women or young women. I also just try to be respectful of everyone, and get to know people and make friends within the church. Because everyone deserves a friend.
