Hi I'm Larissa

I'm from California but I grew up in Utah. I'm a poet, journalist, and traveling enthusiast. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have loved reading and writing since the moment I learned how. Currently I'm going to school as an English major, and I hope to use this to teach creative writing classes and write the inspiring stories of the people around me. I'm both a journalist and a published poet at my university. I also love almost any genre of music (but '80's rock and roll has a special place in my heart); I play the ukulele and guitar, and have been in choirs both in school and at church. I play tennis, but unfortunately my dog loves my tennis balls just as much as I do; it's a good thing I love her too :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have felt the joy that living this gospel brings. Because I was an avid reader as a child, I read The Book of Mormon when I was 7 years old. I am a very stubborn person and refused to believe anything anyone told me until

How I live my faith

Currently I'm the choir director for our ward. I love to help people feel the spirit through the singing of hymns. I'm also a visiting teacher for three sisters in my ward. I love getting to know them, serving them, visiting them, and helping them with life along with my companion, whether it's through a spontaneous ice cream run or a phone call. I will also have the calling of a missionary starting in May; I'm so excited to share the joy of this gospel with the people of Texas!
