Hi I'm Danielle

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I will be serving as a full time missionary in Quito Ecuador for the next 18 months. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love trying new things and broadening my horizons. I finished my first year at BYU-Idaho and am now headed on a mission to Quito Ecuador. I love the outdoors and being raised on a farm, I have had many opportunities to work outside with animals. I spent the last summer working in Jackson Hole at the Bar T 5 driving a team of draft horses. I enjoy hiking, camp fires, and just about anything involving my family. We believe in the piano and all five kids in my family play. I enjoy playing around on the harmonica for fun. I love country swing dancing and participated in social dance. I was very active in high school and was involved in just about anything from musicals to basketball. I continue to try new things and have memorable experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

As I reached a moment in my life that questioned my faith and why I was here, I looked back at my family and the joy that they have seen through the gospel. I figured that since all good things are of God, then this church must be true. As I have grown up in the gospel, I was able to see the knowledge the came with each step in the direction of exaltation. My family faced a challenging time when my little sister passed away in an accident. However, because of this gospel and the belief in everlasting life, we have grown together over the struggle. I have seen God's hand in my life that have brought me to better understand my purpose here. We are on this earth to receive a body and then change and become like God through trials.

How I live my faith

I am a strong believer of being an example. Due to the fact that the small town I am from is mostly LDS, I had a hard time finding people that had never heard of the gospel. I truly began to understand the love that comes with a calling as I was called to be responsible for half the women in my ward. As a presidency, we had to make a conscious effort to reach out to those that were not attending church meetings or looked like they were struggling. I found that that one of the best ways to bring people together is through group activities and having wholesome fun. Through the young single adults ward in Jackson, I saw a good friend of mine that is Catholic become involved in the church through volleyball every Wednesday night.
