Hi I'm Reed Elder

I am a building contractor and have worked building anywhere from small homes to schools and adult living centers. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my mid 60's and my wife and I are preparing to serve an LDS mission to the Adriatic North Mission for the next 18 months. I have six children and now have 18 grandchildren of which all but four are boys. We love doing things together as a family especially water skiing and other water sports, my grand children are now learning to water ski and serf behind the boat.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the age of eight and felt at the time it was the correct decision. Just prior to my mission at the age of 18 I read the Book of Mormon and asked in faith of it's truthfulness. I didn't have a grand experience at that time but felt in my heart that it is truly from God, that made my decision to serve a mission grow in me. My mission to Central England was the greatest experience I had had up to that point in my Life. Since that time to now I have continued to have experience after experience that confirmed to me that God speaks to His children today because He love us and wants us to find success and joy. I know that Jesus Christ lives and He has made it possible for my family and myself to find joy together for the eternities. This has motivated me to serve Him and my brothers and sisters so we all can partake of His goodness and Love.

How I live my faith

I have participated in church callings and activities my entire life. I worked in the Boy scouting programs for several years, helping my oldest and youngest sons become eagle scouts. I served in a YSA ward working with college age single young adults.
