Hi I'm Ezra

Southern Alberta born and raised Mormon

About Me

I'm the second of 6 children and I have lived in southern Alberta all my life. I was home-schooled for most of my high-school years. When I was 15 my family took a 10-month trip to Guatemala to serve the people there and help construct an orphanage. I enjoy drawing, painting, and carving. I had a job during high school building fences and houses, and mowing lawns in the summer. I graduated from high school in 2016, and a few months later left home to serve in Iquitos, Peru as a full-time missionary for the Church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church, but I realized that being a Mormon isn't something others can force you to do. Being Mormon is a personal, conscious, and constant choice, which should be motivated by a personal testimony about the Church and the Gospel. I choose to be Mormon because I love the Savior, and I have found for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is HIS Church. In this Church I find that I belong, that my talents and abilities are appreciated and needed, and I can feel peace, joy, and love as I live what I learn and serve others. To be Mormon is to be happy!

How I live my faith

As a missionary I have the opportunity each day to teach people the things I believe. I talk to people in their houses, when passing by them on the street, or in any other situation I find myself in. Being a missionary isn't easy, and sometimes it can be frightening to talk to strangers, but what I have to say and share is very important and it focuses on helping others to be happier in life. There isn't a better thing I could be doing at this point in my life!
