Hi I'm Daniel

I am a distance runner, I am the middle of seven children, I have been assigned to the Mexico, Veracruz Mission, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been running track and cross country from a very young age. It started out as a way to spend more time with my dad and brothers, but now, I am a 2 time state champion in track and a 5 times region champion in cross country with plans to run in college. Other than running, I enjoy playing Tennis, I love history and politics, and traveling. I have visited many states in the United States, several countries in Europe, and most recently, China. I depart July 24, 2018 for the Mexico, Veracruz Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I Love God. I always have had a testimony that God Lives and that He loves His children, but for a long time, I did not really try to gain a testimony of The Book of Mormon and of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When I was about 16, I reached the point in my life where, like Joseph Smith wanted to know what God wanted from me and and where I could go to find truth. Loving Parents had taught me that if I ever needed an answer, all I had to do was pray. As I went to my Heavenly Father in sincere prayer, having studied the things out in my mind, I received a witness that this is God's church and that The Book of Mormon is holy scripture. From that time on, I committed to devote my life to God and spreading his gospel.

How I live my faith

Because I spend so much time running, one of the biggest ways I am able to live my faith is through example. As the team captain of both my cross country and track team, I make a concentrated effort to encourage teammates to live Christ-like lives by avoiding profanity, congratulating other athletes, and volunteering for service. Being in a young single adult branch, I have an amazing opportunity to minister to people in my age group and I am able to share with them how the Lord wants them to return to live with Him again.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Daniel
We believe that members of Christs church should follow the example of Jesus Christ when they reach the age of at least eight and be baptized by immersion by someone holding the priesthood. Show more Show less
