Hi I'm Doug

I've been born and raised north of Seattle in the PNW. I love cars, 4x4's, Camping, and anything out-doors.

About Me

I am currently 20 years old and preparing to head out on a mission as of May, 16th 2018. My passion the last few years of my life has been working and saving as much as possible, as well as my cars have been a big part of my life. I will spend the next two years of my life serving the Lord, and once I come home from my mission I will be going to BYUI full time to study (probably- this part is subject to change) business and accounting, and would eventually like to get into investing and real estate. I also of course plan to get married and start a family at some point along the line in the next 5-10 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life. My parents and whole immediate family are all members of the Church. I have chosen to follow Christ in His church because I believe it to be the True Church. Christ gave his life that we may be able to live and repent, and I know that through the LDS church we are able to access and understand Christ's atonement for ourselves and that through His Atonement we have the ability to return to our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ and live with them in heaven with our loved ones for all eternity. I believe that through the Church and by following the commandments we have been given that we may be able to be better people here on earth and can gain true happiness, and part of God's plan for us is for us to spread and share the Gospel with those around us to offer them the happiness that we have found with them if they would like this wonderful gift in their life as well.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Elder Quorum First Counselor. Along with this calling I strive to fulfill my duties as a worthy priesthood holder, and to follow the Commandments of the Lord as well as set an example for those around me. As I am preparing to depart on my LDS mission to Salt Lake City, UT, I have some big changes in the next month or so as I will soon be completely immersed in the Lord's Work for the following two years of my life and I could not be more excited to make this huge leap of faith and tell others about my beliefs and spread the Gospel of the Lord.
