Hi I'm Jonathan

I'm half-Taiwanese and half-British. I love to play the piano. I'm a runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm half-Asian. I am the youngest of five kids. I am an uncle with three nieces and one nephew. I love my family. I love to play the piano. I am an avid runner. I will be serving in the Guatemala Guatemala City Central Mission. I am fascinated by science and I would love to become a doctor. I am a firm believer that Christlike love and the Gospel of Jesus Christ can solve all of the world's problems.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Savior and His Gospel bring me immense Hope. I know that Jesus Christ truly is my Savior and the "author and finisher of our faith." I have felt the power of the Savior and His Atonement in my life and I know that because of Him we can all be forgiven. It is because of my Heavenly Father, my Savior, and this church that I have a purpose. I have felt God's love for me, and I know that He loves each and everyone one of us to a level that we cannot even comprehend. This gospel brings me peace and serenity even in these chaotic and confusing times. Because of this Gospel, I have no need to fear. Even in a world full of darkness and hatred, I know my Heavenly Father is there because there is also immense light and love in this world. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and it has been a great strength to me. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Father and the Son truly appeared to Him. And above all, I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of this world.

How I live my faith

Growing up in Utah, I have been blessed to be surrounded by other members of the church and their testimonies and examples have been a great strength to me. Building on those testimonies and my own that I have come to gain, I try to make the best decisions I can each day. I do my best to be kind to everyone and love them as God does. I learned many lessons about loving others regardless of who they are as I served as a counselor in a special needs youth program in the Church. I also serve as an assistant ward organist, and I love being able to share my testimony through music each week.
