Hi I'm Daniel B Syphus

Born & raised in Southern Utah's red rocks. Worked in hardware retail and construction while raising eight wonderful children.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working in the garden and in the orchard. Few things are as satisfying as being surrounded by grand children.

Why I am a Mormon

It is a wonderful blessing to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Though I have been a member of the church all of my life, I have grown, and continue to grow in my testimony of Christ and his doctrine. I continue to marvel at the power for good that I see in those who strive to live as Christ would have them live. I find great satisfaction in worshiping together with so many wonderful examples of Christ like attributes. Though all have human weaknesses, the combined strength of of good people working together in the cause of truth inspires me to want to overcome my own human frailties and become a greater disciple of Christ in this great work.

How I live my faith

I enjoy the many opportunities to work side by side with members of our local congregation. My wife and I currently minister with college age youth and are enjoying the association with them not only in weekly Sunday worship services but in many social settings. We enjoy social and service events planned and organized by the young adults such as, service projects with grade schoolers, community events, college student "family" nights, and many other worthwhile and rewarding activities. While we have been called to advise and assist when needed, we have been impressed by the talents and leadership shown by so many of those with whom we worship and serve.
