Hi I'm Payton Blatter
I grew up in the church. I'm an avid outdoorsman. Called to serve in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am an avid outdoorsman in Montana who loves to interact with the wildlife the Lord has put on this Earth. I was raised in the church, but became inactive at the age of 10 with my mom and two siblings. At the age of 17, I returned to being active with the help of my best friend and her family. I have become much happier, and been called to serve in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission for the span of June 2018-June 2020. After which, I will attend BYU-Idaho to receive a degree in Recreation Management to pursue a career in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife department.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because the power of prayer is real. While I was inactive, I made poor life decisions that sent me into a fast downward spiral. I started hanging out with the wrong crowds, arguing with my family, and becoming very relaxed with my foul language. In August of 2016, I began to recognize my faults and was seeking help and guidance. I started praying for help from God, whether it was a person or an event, I needed change in my life. By that September, a new student came to our school. The moment she walked in the door, I knew my Heavenly Father had given me the answer to my prayers. She alone brought me back into activity, and allowed me to be a part of her family activities. As her family took me in, I began to see the joy and happiness they have being in a complete family. This influence made me see what happiness and joy I can receive with the Gospel back in my life. I had finally made the decision to receive a blessing on what I needed to do, and the answer was clear, return to church. After becoming active again, I received the Aaronic Priesthood when I was 17 and have been active since. My life is full of light and happiness, and am thankful for the restored Gospel every day.
How I live my faith
I attend seminary in the mornings when I am able, attend Mission Prep classes, and have religious discussions with classmates in school. I am willing to share my testimony when the spirit is there, and I have the impression to bare my testimony to those I speak with. I love this Gospel and everything it has to offer in my life.
