Hi I'm Madeline

I am a national cooking champion. I love to sing and play games. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love to cook and just graduated from culinary school. I loved culinary school because I got to learn new things every day! While in school I participated in culinary competitions and had a lot of success. With the help of my chefs, I was able to win a national cooking competition. When I am not cooking I love to spend time with my family playing games or just hearing stories from them. I also like to be active playing sports like volleyball or ultimate frisbee when I get the chance. I recently received a mission call to serve in the Philippines for 18 months. I am already in love with the people I know from the Philippines and can't wait to serve the Lord by sharing His gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and am so grateful for His sacrifice which makes it possible for me to experience joy in this life and to be reunited with my family after this life. God means everything to me. He is in the details of my life helping me to make good decisions. There is not one specific moment when I knew that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was Christ's restored church on the earth today. I know it is true and that the teachings are true because as I live the teachings I have found peace in my life and happiness. Something in side of me has always known that this is where I am suppose to be and that it is all true. I don't always fully understand all of the commandments or teachings of the Savior through His church, but as I have faith and keep trying things continue to work out in my life and slowly, more and more understanding comes.

How I live my faith

Even though I am fairly young, I have served in leadership positions in my local church ward by helping to take care of a serve the women in my area. I go to meetings and plan and participate in activities that are both fun and service oriented. I love to help others feel joy so I try to lift them up and make them feel good about who they are. A lot of how I live my faith is not visible to others. I pray morning and night and before every meal. I read from the scriptures everyday and try to express gratitude or the blessings I have (which are many!).
