Hi I'm David

I'm an amateur astronomer. I'm a profecient musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy stargazing and reading about stars and planets. I play the piano and have been for over a decade. I am currently attending high school. I am going to serve a mission in July. I set being sealed in the temple a high priority. I am going to work for NASA afterwards.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I can't find any peace in any other philosophy or teaching given in this world besides the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Because I have founded my life on (and my parents have also) this wonderful church, I have gained an unimaginable amount of self-esteem and determination to strive and do better every day and to go above and beyond in my life.

How I live my faith

I bless the sacrament every sunday. I am the preisthood piano player and a ministering elder to three families. I'm going to serve a mission in Antananarivo, Madagascar. I often teach lessons for the youth and play fun songs for the little ones.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

David
Preventing the personal spread of pornography is straightforeward. If an image pops up on your computer, shut the computer off and walk away. If you see an image on a magazine at the store or anywhere else, don't keep looking and walk away. If you see pornography anywhere, run away from it. Pornography is designed to look enticing and attractive, but being addictive to this enslaving material is by no means enticing. By following these simple and straightforeward procedures, one can life a free, morale boosted life without the heavy burdens of pornography. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

David
Jesus taught that baptism is required to those who live on earth to recieve salvation. Because so many people die without baptism, and some were not baptised with the proper authority, god has allowed the youth and adults to baptise those who have gone before us. We like to use the word 'Proxy' because those who are being baptised for the dead are acting as the proxy between the person baptising and the person being baptised for. Show more Show less
