Hi I'm Jennifer

I am Haitian. I am the oldest of three girls. I am a college student. I love art and music. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to cook and eat. I love hiking, biking, and taking walks. I love painting and listening to music and watching movies. Currently, I'm a college student and I want to be either a physical therapist or a medical examiner.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents were converts so I grew up in the church. However, I didn't truly convert until my last year in high school to my first semester in college. This time was really difficult because I had to put what I'd been taught to action. And after evaluating my life, I realized I had been cruising by and that I needed to find out if this is where I wanted to be, not for my parents but for me. I continued to attend church but this time I had a purpose, a goal. I kept track of how I felt after hearing messages. And each time, I would feel hope. Something I was lacking. With hope, peace, comfort, happiness followed. And soon I saw that following the teachings of my Savior results in blessings and realized I had a bright future ahead of me. Things were still going to be hard, I was still going struggle and fall, that's life, but through Him, they are possible.

How I live my faith

Besides attending church, I've taught the little children at church. At school, I would organize activities for some students weekly. Also I've been able to do projects like visiting nursing homes or volunteering as a youth. Throughout high school I attended classes where we study scriptures and I continue to do so in college.
