Hi I'm Montana Rogers

I am from Provo, Utah. I am now serving a full-time mission in the North Dakota, Bismarck Mission!

About Me

I grew up in Florida and moved to Provo my freshman year of high school. I was a cheerleader and did student government. I am a college student that attended BYU for a year and did a study abroad in London for spring term 2018. I have chosen to serve as a full-time missionary and I have been called to the North Dakota, Bismarck mission! I hate the cold so I am really putting my trust in Heavenly Father that I will not freeze to death.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the knowledge that I have of my loving Heavenly Father and that I can live with my family forever gives me hope and trust that everything will work out the way that it is supposed to. I am grateful for the knowledge and faith that I have of our living prophet and that we are still receiving revelation from our Father in heaven. I know that the Book of Mormon gives me inspiration and guidance for trials in my life and I can grow to become the person that Heavenly Father needs me to be.

How I live my faith

My favorite part of applying my faith to everyday life is ministering to the one. I know how meaningful and impactful it is for someone to genuinely care and listen to your problems. I love being that person that people can trust and turn to for guidance. That is the best part of living my faith. I can bear my testimony as I feel prompted by the Spirit.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Montana Rogers
Self reliance gives us the opportunity to become self reliant in order to serve others around us. We are able to become more personally independent and gain an appreciation for being that way. After we become self reliant, we have the time to care for those in need. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Montana Rogers
Being baptized is necessary to live with our Heavenly Father and our families again. Because God loves us, He gives us multiple chances to follow Christ's example and be baptized. After someone dies, someone has to be baptized for them on Earth because they no longer have a body. When we are baptized for the dead, we are providing them the choice to accept the gospel to live with our Father in Heaven again. We want everyone to live with God and He wants to live with his children again. Show more Show less
