Hi I'm Stewart

I’m a Mormon. I grew up in rural Utah and worked as a maintenance mechanic at a power company.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in central Utah. I married my high school sweetheart and had 6 children. I was always good at working with my hands, and learned the trade of carpentry, machining, welding, and mill working. My permanent job was a maintenance mechanic at a power facility. In my early years I also worked as a road construction laborer, IFA seed grain laborer, wood shop supervisor, produce manager, and pizza maker. My life has been very eventful, having to deal with 3 of my children being type 1 diabetics. I lost one child in childbirth and one to a pedestrian vehicle accident. I lost my first wife to ovarian cancer after a ten year struggle with ovarian cancer and pancreatic cancer. I met my second wife on an LDS singles site and married her in 2015. She has had some of the same trials as I, losing one of her children and a spouse to cancer. We now have 7 living children and 13 grandchildren between the two of us. I am looking forward to serving a couples mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Birmingham England mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this is the true gospel that Christ has given to help us return and live with him and the father. I’ve always known that this church is true and teaches us how to be happy. Satin works on us through our weaknesses but we can overcome anything by turning to the Savior and repenting of our mistakes. I feel that special witness in all aspects of my life. I have witnessed the help from him in work, everyday activities, and marriage. There is always help from the spirit and family and fellow members of this church. You cannot find the joy and love experienced any other way.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a Mormon household where my brothers and one sister served missions for the church. I did not at the time serve and I am looking forward to serving now. I attended all my church functions as a young man and raised my family in the church as well. I have made some choices in my life that have been troublesome but the lord has softened my heart and repentance has helped me find the joy that this religion offers everyone. I love the lord and feel the spirit in helping me through the trials of life.
