Hi I'm Geri Conlin

I am a happy wife, mother of six and grandmother of 15. I love to play with my grandchildren and my children and their spouses.

About Me

I love to be outdoors and active. I like to snowboard and snow shoe in the winter and water ski and surf and wake board and hike and play tennis and pickleball in the summer. When my husband or children or grandchildren play with me, my outdoor time is even more fulfilling. I have been a school teacher and a university professor and am looking forward to retirement so I can spend more time outdoors and with my family and serving others. I know the health benefits (physical, emotional, spiritual, social) of living an active lifestyle from first hand experience. My ability to care for myself and for others is enhanced when I keep myself healthy. The more healthy I am, the more I am able to serve others in various ways.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am a happier person and a better person when I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ as taught in the holy scriptures and by modern prophets. I gain strength to follow these teachings when I meet each Sunday with other members and glean from their experiences and their strength. I like me and my life better when I try to be like the Savior, Jesus Christ, and recognize His love and His atonement. I know I am a child of a loving Heavenly Father and I want to live in His presence again with my loved ones.

How I live my faith

I look for ways to serve others without making it public. I find that even a smile can go a long way to lift others and let them know someone cares about them. I have also found that praying for others gives them some peace of mind when they have trials and challenges.
