Hi I'm MaryAshley

I grew up in Virginia. I am going on a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college right now. I grew up in a family where two of my siblings feel away from the church and my parents divorced. I love my family immensely and value my relationships with them. I enjoy playing ukulele, long-boarding, spending time with friends/ family, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel God's love, peace, comfort, and pure joy in knowing that this is the true Church. I have seen my life flourish before my eyes as I follow the Savior and keep His commandments. There was a time in my life where I felt hopeless, lost, sad, confused, and broken. I was not living the gospel as I should have and saw how it affected every aspect of my life. One day I decided enough was enough and pleaded to my Heavenly Father for forgiveness. I had a deep desire to change and God noticed that. From then on I have made the effort to read my scriptures every day, to say my prayers every morning and night, and to block out the temptations. I can not believe how much I have changed. I can honestly say that I have never been happier. This gospel brings true joy as you follow God. Repentance is a joyful process and our Heavenly Father rejoices as we turn our lives to Him. I love my Savior and God. I know Heavenly Father answers prayers and will aid anyone if they but "ask in faith". I am truly grateful to have this gospel in my life. What a privilege it is to say that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service to others. I have the calling of "Compassionate Service Committee". In my calling, I help others feel welcomed and loved. I will send "Happy Birthday" texts, visit them at home, or make dinner for those in need. I also am a Gospel Doctrines teacher for Sunday school in which I have the opportunity to teach young adults about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
