Hi I'm Afton

I grew up in a small town in Idaho and am serving in the Kentucky Louisville Mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have a love for agriculture. During high school I was a proud member of the local FFA chapter. Within the FFA I competed in many competitions from public speaking to sales. I was lucky enough to find a passion of mine by floral designing at the local floral shop. I have been in the floral industry now for 5 years. I moved to Boise, Idaho to study political science at Boise State University before deciding to serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up being Mormon but not until recently I have actually become a Mormon. Hard times are always apart of life and I went through one, I watched my entire family go through hard times. It was during that time that I needed help, through the power of prayer, and reading the Book of Mormon, I found the help that my family and I needed. I know that what I read and hear from our apostles and prophets comes straight from Heavenly Father and it is meant to help us endure to the end so that we can live with Him once again. He presented the perfect plan in order for us to live with our eternal families once again. He sent His only begotten son to take away the sins of the world so that we may all be clean to dwell with them some day. He loves us and cares for each one of us and will never leave us, especially in our time of need. This church and all of its teachings are true and I know this by the power of revelation and prayer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to better myself every day by praying to our Heavenly Father and reading the Book of Mormon. I know that when I am in the service of my fellowman that I am only in the service of my God. I strive to allow the light of Christ shine through me by being kind to all those that I meet and being truthful and honest in all things that I do. I try to teach those who are curious about the true and restored gospel.
