Hi I'm Lauren

I've lived all over the United States. I'm a college student. I'm a piano teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at Brigham Young University, studying Psychology. My long-term plan is to become a clinical psychologist. I have lived in Oregon, Ohio, Michigan, Utah, and Wisconsin. In high school I was in choir, I loved science, I sent to early morning seminary, and I taught piano lessons. I have two younger brothers that I adore. I'm a sucker for Italian food, rom coms and rainy days.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to eventually live with my family forever in heaven. Our church teaches that we can live together with our families in the next life, if we follow Jesus Christ in this one. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I love being able to constantly learn about God, His plan for me, and myself. I love knowing that I can be forgiven of my sins and restored to a state of happiness because of the suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because it brings me peace. I know that as long as I am doing my best to follow Jesus Christ, I can trust that I will be blessed for my sacrifices and my efforts to follow Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying the scriptures every morning, and trying to apply what I learned throughout the rest of the day. I direct our church choir, singing songs that praise God and uplift the people who listen. I jump on opportunities to share what I believe with others. I try to develop characteristics that Jesus Christ had, like being charitable and courageous.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Lauren
The current prophet is President Russell M. Nelson. God has called him to be the connection between God and the rest of the members of the church. He holds all of the keys-or Godly powers-necessary to keep God's work going on Earth. President Russell M. Nelson is kind, humble, strong, and one of the best demonstrations of trust in God that I have ever encountered. Show more Show less
