Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Utah. My father is Caucasian and my mother is Asian. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 2 sons and 4 daughters. Growing up I participated in track and field, basketball, and tennis. I love art, and have received a number of awards from museums and congress in the State of Utah for my own pieces. The listening to and playing of music is very special to me. Because my mother is Japanese, I have a great love for the people and culture of Japan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have a personal testimony of the teachings and doctrines of this church. Through reading the Book of Mormon, going to church every Sunday, and obeying God's commandments, I have received a witness from the Spirit of God that this is His true church on the earth today. Countless blessings have come, and will come, to me and my family as we obey the laws and ordinances of this gospel. No greater happiness or peace can be found than that which is given from our Heavenly Father and Savior.

How I live my faith

Before being called to serve an LDS mission, I taught ages 9-10 the gospel at church on Sundays. I live the gospel by attending church every sabbath and participating in my callings there, as well as living my day to day life in harmony with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Now, I live the gospel by devoting 18 months of my life to sharing the gospel as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Japan.
