Hi I'm Brooklyn

I grew up in a small town near Boise Idaho called Kuna. I love spending my time with family and friends as well as cooking.

About Me

Before my mission, I attended 2 semesters of college. I plan to continue college after my mission and major in Nursing with a specialty in Labor and Delivery. I love to cook and learn new recipes. My favorite things to do are spending time with my family and friends and taking road trips to cool places.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has helped me through so many things in my life. When I was 10 years old, my mom passed away unexpectedly in the night. Before her passing, my family wasn't very active in the church. We went every now and then when I was little and I was baptized, but it was never a constant part of our lives. After my mom's passing, my dad, my two younger brothers. and I began attending church regularly. After a while, my dad and brothers stopped going, but I had the feeling that I needed to continue attending church. As I continued being active in the church, it blessed my life in many ways. I was able to feel closer to my mom as well as my Heavenly Father. I gained a testimony and was strengthened through my trials that I faced. I learned that we are given trials not to bring us down, but to make us stronger and to develop us into the person that our Heavenly Father desires us to become.

How I live my faith

Through out my youth, I was given many opportunities to serve in different callings. From the age of 12 until 18 I was able to serve in the leadership callings of the Young Women's group. As I attended college I was given the opportunity to serve in other callings as well including Family Home Evening Coordinator and Relief Society teacher. Serving in each one of these callings brought forth many blessings in my life as I faithfully served in each calling.
