Hi I'm Lacey

I'm from Arizona. I am going to school to be a high school math teacher. I play guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in my 3rd year of college, I am studying to be a high school math teacher. I love math! I am also preparing to serve a mission in Naga, Philippines and I am so excited! I love to read, watch Harry Potter, and play guitar! I have 3 younger siblings, two brothers and one sister. I also have two adorable shih tzu dogs, Gigi and Millie.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been on both sides and I can honestly say my life changed for the better when my heart converted to the Lord. I was actually born into the church but from the time I was younger, because of things that happened to me, I never really felt like the church was meant for me. So I strayed away in high school through the first year of college. Life became so much harder. Trials that came seemed impossible to get through and I was so depressed. But after a run in with an old friend from church from back home, I realized that the gospel was that missing piece in my life. Through many prayers, tears, and screams I turned my life around. I turned my heart to God and suddenly every trial I was dealing with, were easier to overcome. My life was happier.

How I live my faith

Something that has always brought me closer to God is service. I am part of an all girls community service group in my college. It really reminds me to love all of God's children and see them as He does, but I am not perfect at that. I live my faith by continually trying to better myself. There is always something to improve on. In my single adult ward, I was on the activities committee so I helped organize dances, socials, tailgates and stuff like that.
