Hi I'm Mary Kate Dickey

I grew up in Utah, I am serving in the Canada Toronto mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am attending school at UVU and hope to be an elementary school teacher. I love kids and I find so much joy in teaching. I've been involved in theatre throughout my life. I have also played piano for as long as I can remember. I love the arts! I enjoy the beautiful mountains I live by. Hiking is one of the best parts of Utah!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life, but that does not mean it isn't a choice I've had to make. Being a member of the church requires making the choice every single day to try and be more like Jesus Christ. I feel that as I have come to know of my Heavenly Father's love for me, I have found more joy in life. This gospel has given me purpose. I know that no matter what life throws at me, there will always be a certain peace I can feel because of the Savior's atonement for me. I love being a part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am thankful that Joseph Smith prayed to know which church was true. Just like Joseph Smith received an answer, I have too. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. It helps me understand why I am here and how I am supposed to live.

How I live my faith

I served in my seminary council at Pleasant Grove High School. I am now teaching Sunday school and will soon be set apart as a full-time missionary. I feel that one of the best ways to live the gospel is to love and serve others. When I serve others, and when they serve me I truly feel Christ's presence in my life. I have always found that seminary and institute are great ways to get away from the stress that school brings. I love this church, and I feel so much love for my Father in Heaven.
