Hi I'm Kadie

I am from Southern Utah and I'm preparing to serve the people of the Philippines Baguio Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy raising livestock and being outdoors. Volunteering at a horse riding center for kids with special needs is always the best part of my week. Growing up in an inactive home has really helped me to see the blessings that the gospel has to offer.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in an inactive home. Despite this, my family members are truly wonderful, good-hearted people. I know I'm lucky to have them. I always knew that going to church was the right thing to do, but I struggled to do so. It was hard to go alone. It wasn't until my freshmen year of high school that I started taking a bible study class at school, called seminary. That class is what led me to make major changes. It was hard at first, but eventually I created a habit of attending church meetings on Sundays. It was there that I had an experience that I will never forget. In a moment that I felt completely forgotten and abandoned, the Spirit helped me to realize that I was not alone. Christ was right by my side. My tears of sadness became tears of gratitude. In this moment I realized that as long as I was trying to do what was pleasing to God, I would never be alone. Christ will be by our side, supporting and guiding us through our righteous endeavors. I don't believe that I have ever attended church alone. Through this restored gospel of Jesus Christ I have found such peace, comfort and joy in my life that I didn't realize I was missing before.

How I live my faith

My friend and I are teaching partners for the 9-year-olds in our church ward. We prepare a lesson to teach our class every Sunday. I am always learning new things from preparing lessons, as well as from the kids in our class.
