Hi I'm Annika Johnson

I grew up in Nebraska. I love learning and meeting new people. I am serving a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a very active heart that loves lots of different hobbies. I love signing, listening to music, and hanging out with family and friends. My favorite sports to play are volleyball and soccer. I enjoy exercise of all kinds, eating healthy and taking time for myself. I have always had an undying love for fashion and doing hair and makeup, especially on others. I loooooove learning and school and plan to go to beauty school and a four year university. My major will be something in the science field, like naturopathy or something to do with the human body. I love my family dearly and love to be with them and talk with them. My greatest love is living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ and feel their love everyday. I love the Atonement of Jesus Christ and know with all my heart that it is so real, and was performed just for us, so we can progress and better ourselves.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I love it! I feel so happy and full of love when I follow Jesus Christ and live his gospel. My life has been abundantly blessed by the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because of the living prophet we have here on the earth, Russell M. Nelson, and his apostles that have been called of God to teach Christ's gospel to the world. I am a Mormon because I can be sealed to my family, my future husband for eternity in the temple. I am Mormon because I can't deny the feelings of confirmation, comfort, guidance, and peace I receive from the Holy Ghost when He testifies to me of the truthfulness of everything the gospel teaches. I am a Mormon because I know in my heart and in my mind that the prophet Joseph Smith was truly called to be a prophet by God and that he did restore the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. I know this church is lead by Jesus Christ and His prophets and apostles act as His mouthpiece when they speak. I know in my heart and mind that Heavenly Father (God), Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate beings, who are one in purpose, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man and to guide us through our lives here on earth so we can return to live with them once more.

How I live my faith

One way I love to live my faith is by daily praying and inviting Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost in to my life each day. Their guidance and love bring me peace and keep my head on straight when thing get stressful or hard to handle. I also do this by studying the scriptures daily. The Book of Mormon has brought me closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ than I have ever felt, and continues to help me draw nearer to them each time I read.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Annika Johnson
The Atonement of Jesus Christ was and is an act of love from God our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ our Saviour. It is part of God's plan for each of His children to experience hardship, transgression, sin and other consequences of being imperfect, because these things are meant to teach us and help us to refine and progress. However, He wants His children to have joy and be able to return to His presence at the end of their earthly lives, so He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to perform the Atonement, which allows us to repent of, be forgiven for, and forsake our sins. The Atonement of Jesus Christ not only provides us a way to repent, but it also provides comfort and peace to our hearts and minds during times of pain, sadness, trial, hardship, grief, and any other human feeling or emotion. This is so because as the Saviour suffered in the garden of Gethsemane as part of the Atonement, He felt every emotion and feeling, whether physical, spiritual, or mental that any person who has been and ever will be on this earth has had or will have. We can feel peace and comfort knowing that we are not alone in our feelings and emotions, because the Saviour has felt exactly everything we have felt and will feel. He knows our pain, but he also knows our joy. He gave His life so our lives could be filled with peace, love, joy, and everlasting progression. We need the Atonement because we are imperfect and need to be able to repent and refine our natures. Show more Show less
